Kids in Nature Corporate Challenge
Getting kids outside is important to helping them understand nature and the environment.
Yet many kids don’t take part in field trips because they can’t afford to. The Kids
in Nature Corporate Challenge makes these trips possible. Working with the Toronto
and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) and Earth Rangers, the Partners in Project
Green find companies who will sponsor:
- a full-day trip for a grade-six class to the Kortright Centre for Conservation in
Woodbridge
- a school visit from the Earth Rangers’ Bring Back the Wild Program
- Resources for teachers and special classroom activities
The goal is to bring this program to 50 schools in high-risk neighbourhoods in and
around the Pearson Eco-Business Zone which includes Mississauga, Toronto and Brampton.
