When there's a transformer box on your property

Customers who own homes or live on developments with a pad-mounted transformer should be aware that Enersource relies on you to keep these boxes safe and unobstructed.  It helps us reduce outages in your neighbourhood.

Pad-mounted transformers play a key role in our electrical system. Please be aware that we need at least 3 meters of clearance in front of the transformer and at least 1.5 meters on the sides in order to perform system checks or emergency work. If you have any trees, shrubs, greenery or fencing around the boxes, they'll need to be removed to allow Enersource employees to access and service the units.
