Small Business Lighting Program

If you run a small business in Mississauga, you could get up to $1,000 in free* energy-efficient lighting and equipment upgrades that can help you save energy and money.

Here's what you get…

• A free efficiency audit
• Funding of up to $1,000 for retrofits (the average cost including labour costs and taxes is $840)
• Upgrades for your fluorescent lighting systems to T8 and compact fluorescent lights (CFLs), LED exit lights, water-heater jackets, pipe insulation, and faucet aerators.
  Learn about safe handling and disposal of CFLs.

Here's how you qualify…

To participate in the Power Savings Blitz, you must have a business in Mississauga that:

• Is served by Enersource
• Uses less than 50 kW of power per year
• Is in the office or retail sector — this can include beauty salons, professional offices and restaurants

Here's how it works…

• We assess your business. Then we recommend upgrades to help you become more energy efficient.
• You review your options. You get to decide if you'd like a retrofit — the maximum funding is $1,000 including material and labour costs, and the minimum amount is $300.
• We install and upgrade. A licensed electricity contractor will come in and install your upgrades with your approval and at your convenience.
