Earth Hour 2010
This year, Earth Hour yielded a 6.9 per cent decrease in Mississauga's power consumption on Saturday March 27 between 8:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.
In partnership with the City of Mississauga, Enersource educated residents and businesses about the importance of Earth Hour not just across the globe, but in our own backyard.
We participated by supporting the City of Mississauga's Earth Hour celebrations at the Mississauga Civic Centre and turned off all non-essential outdoor and indoor lights in our offices, including Enersource's LED road sign and decorative light fixtures.
Businesses and residents alike in Mississauga took the challenge and came up with some fun and unique ideas. The businesses listed below told us their plans, and you can also see some of the featured ideas that were submitted by our residential customers.
- AstraZeneca
- General Electric
- Greater Toronto Airports Authority
