About the Program

The Ontario Power Authority in cooperation with Enersource Hydro Mississauga are assisting Commercial, Industrial, and Institutional and Agricultural customers to conserve energy.

The Electricity Retrofit Incentive Program understands that when a business is making choices on equipment, the most efficient options are not always viable due to financial or time-bound restrictions.  We would like to influence these decisions in favour of the most electricity efficient options.

The Electricity Retrofit Incentive Program focuses on the areas of lighting, motors, heating ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC) and the overall electricity systems.

Who Qualifies?

Applicants must be Enersource Hydro Mississauga Commercial, Industrial, Institutional or Agricultural customers.  Applicants may be owners or tenants of business premises supplied by Enersource.  If you are a tenant, you must obtain permission from the property owner for installation of the measures for which an incentive is claimed.

Qualifying Projects

Incentives will be available for pre-approved projects that result in measurable reductions in electrical peak demand.  These projects may be completed using energy efficient technologies prescribed by the program or may be based on innovative custom initiatives.

Prescriptive Technologies

Incentives are offered for pre-approved technologies on a per unit basis.  An incentive is available for pre-approved technologies as detailed on the Prescriptive worksheets.  A minimum $250.00 incentive per project is needed to qualify.
