Spirit of Giving

The Spirit of Giving program is the key component of Enersource’s commitment to social responsibility through the financial support of charitable organizations and volunteer activities of our employees which directly benefit the City of Mississauga; the community in which we serve.

The Spirit of Giving program is an extension of our corporate Core Value of Community and demonstrates our continuous social commitment to the community in which we work in support of the people and groups who need our help the most.

The Four Cornerstones

The four cornerstones of the Spirit of Giving program concentrate support on local community initiatives in the areas of Health, Safety, Environment and Community. Whether through monetary donations or lending a hand in the community, the Spirit of Giving program shares the spirit of Enersource’s social commitment with the entire City of Mississauga.

Health | Safety Environment Community
We strive to provide a healthy and safe environment within Mississauga in which everyone can excel and develop to their full potential. The health and safety of the public is our primary concern. We commit to the prevention of adverse environmental effects and to the realization of the benefits of superior evironmental performance within Mississauga. We believe in supporting the local community through participation in local events and community activities.

Throughout the year, Enersource is proud to support a wide variety of charitable organizations and their fundraising activities with a focus on the areas of Health, Safety, Environment and Community.

In partnership with the United Way of Peel Region, Enersource is pleased to support Winter Warmth, an initiative to assist low-income individuals with their hydro bills over the coldest months of the winter season.

Winter Warmth provides grants to residents of Mississauga who are struggling to pay their hydro bills and are at risk of losing their hydro service. Families and individuals needing assistance in paying their hydro bill can apply for a grant through the Dixie-Bloorview Neighbourhood Centre.
