CUSTOMER FRAUD ALERT: Enersource Urges Residents to be on the Lookout for Phony Energy Offers

As part of our ongoing commitment to deliver secure and reliable customer service, Enersource would like to take the opportunity to let you know about a new wave of phony energy conservation offers.

It was recently brought to our attention that some Mississauga residents have been approached at their home by individuals claiming to be Enersource employees, offering free energy saving light bulbs in exchange for permission to enter the premises and install a low-flow showerhead in the home.

To be clear, Enersource representatives are professionally trained and do not engage in the type of activity described above. In the event that we would have to contact you personally, our staff will do their best to provide both advance notification and official identification.

Helping you find ways to conserve energy is important to us – keep an eye out for the Enersource booth at community events throughout the summer to learn more.

Moving forward, we encourage customers to be aware of unusual activities in your neighbourhood. Don’t be fooled. Ask questions and don’t permit anyone who seems suspicious to enter your home.

Stay alert. Ask questions. If you have concerns or additional questions, please contact Enersource at (905) 273 – 9050.
